As you know I have been helping DD whilst she settles into her new role as Manager at the Charity she works for,it has helped her with the upset we have just experienced and she is doing very well indeed,her area manager is pleased with the outcome and has asked her to stay at the bigger shop on a permanent basis so well done DD she is feeling much better and this has given her the financial stability she so much needed with her being a single mum.
The shock has been that said area manager has asked me to take over the smaller shop and run it for them and I am lost for words ?? who would think they couldn't get staff to do the job with so many unemployed at the moment it would have to be on a short term contract until they find someone to train up for the job and I have until Thursday to give him my answer,OH says go for it as he is convinced I will enjoy it he has even offered his time to help on two afternoons a week You just never know what is around the corner and I am still undecided any thoughts ladies would be appreciated.Back to-night for catch up. xxx Glamma xxx

Think it over carefully, only you really know if it is a challenging new project which will enhance your life, or a chore which will drain you.
I think my questions would be - how many hours a week does it entail and do you have to travel far? (important in winter!) If as you suggest it can be on a short term contract initially, I think it may be worth going for it.

Well done on being offered the job! As the other ladies have said, in the end it's down to you and if you're prepared to take it on. Lots of things to consider as well, but Gemini has listed most of these. I'd ask myself : do I really want to commit to working again? Also am I able to do the job to the best of my ability?

A short term contract will give you an idea whether you would like to continue beyond that. Personally, right now, if I did not have to work another day I would be happy. As the last line of one of my fav films says "Oh well tomorrow is another day"
