    Babies Christening.

We have had such a busy week this past week ending with the Christening of my DGD yesterday she is now nearly 3mths old and she has been named Willow Tsang.
My DGS2 my DGS2 who is the daddy of my GGCs was her Godfather along with 3 others who are family friends.
Such a lovely plesent day and the children who attended behaved nicely and enjoyed the afternoon, lots of goodie bags and cup-cakes enjoyed by the little ones (and me)
I am still trying to cut my pictures down so I can post them they keep being rejected as being to big to load but I promise that DGS5 will be up this week to get the settings right for me.
    Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

My two youngest GC are Christened but not oldest GC
My two were Christened but only because of my Mothers wishes , personally I wasn't bothered im a none believer so I would have happily not done it and let them chose if or not they wanted to be Christened as they grew older ,
DD feels the same she's leaving it up to GS1 to decide , although he's not interested to be honest so don't think he will .

You are right Qwerty. It was the done thing then. Both mine were christened. Neither go to church but I don’t often go either.

Glamma - what a lovely day, and so nice to hear the children enjoyed it too.

None of our GCs have been Christened, but both our sons are. There was no pressure to have them christened, but I think my in laws would have been disappointed if we hadn't had them christened. FIL performed the Christening service for both of them, so it was very special.

My children are all Christened , to please my mother. She was so disappointed that we were not married in church, I felt I had to give her that. As an agnostic, I don't know there isn't a God, so to give my DDs the chance to be baptised seemed no bad thing really.
None of my GC are Christened. GD had a Naming Ceremony with sort of godparents when she was 3, and I'm sure her brother will have the same.

Both my DC were, DD at the church we were married in in my home town in Scotland, DS in the Scots Church in Melbourne, Australia which I attended when we lived there. The minister asked if he had his swimming things with him as we were going down to the Yarra River for a dip! DS was 8 at the time!GS was also christened although this was mainly because they wanted to get him into a church school. I have to say they all did attend regularly and took an active part in church life, but football has taken over now! And they've moved from the area! Kept my thoughts about that to myself!
