    We're going to Diggerland!

On Friday we are having a family trip to Diggerland!
It is GS2's 2nd birthday on that day. His family party at home is on Saturday. As he is in love with diggers, tractors and all such things (which are all DigDig, in very excited voice!) this was a good choice. As well as GS's parents and sister, OH and I and SIL's parents are going too. I am excited I love a family outing

Sounds good fun Gemini. Will you be driving a digger?

Great Gem I hope you all enjoy your day. OH & I took our GS1 yrs back as he was a digger fanatic too. We were just disappointed there weren't many diggers he could work himself (as in toy fashion, of course). Lots of height/age restrictions back then.

OH really enjoyed it though as he was able to sit with GS & drive them around the courses. Our mistake was we hadn't thought to tell GS that he just wouldn't be able to sit in a digger & drive off himself, as that's what he had in mind.

I dare you to go on the spinning ride.😉🤣

I will report back on the day, including whether or not I drive a digger and go on a spinning ride

At just 2 I don't suppose that there will be a a lot that GS can do on his own, But the advantage of being so young is that he doesn't even know he is going, so won't have any expectations !
Grandad and my OH are very keen on driving the diggers

Gem - it sounds like a fantastic birthday treat for a Digger fan like GS2. My GSs were older when they went, but they both loved it.

I hope the sun shines for you all.

It's forecast cloudy Daisy, we'll take that as long as there is no rain!

Qwerty, like me you are probably not heavily into diggers!! I am looking forward to it as a family day out, but I can't say it would be my choice of venue
Now you have a little boy in the family, maybe you will get to go!!

Fun was had by all yesterday
Little birthday boy was happy to just be where there were so many diggers! He constantly pointed to them saying 'DigDig!' to us all, as if we hadn't noticed
He really enjoyed the indoor soft play area too. DD, the other gran and I were happy to spend time in there with him, warming up!
The adults had fun, especially my OH, SIL, and SIL's dad.
GD really enjoyed it too and tried lots of things. Her driving and digger operator skills are admirable for 8 years old
She had gone along happy to share her little brother's joy, but not expecting to have much fun herself. However she really enjoyed it, and would go back willingly!

We met at 11 and stayed until after 5. We then all went back to DD's, and SIL and his dad went for fish and chips for us all. GS2 seemed delighted to have most of his family around the table, and kept pointing to each of us and smiling. I got lots of lovely cuddles once we got back to their house as well.

Gem - what a wonderful birthday day, that everyone enjoyed, even if for different reasons. I'm glad GD had fun as well. It's only a couple of years since our GSs went there, so a few years older than your GD, and they really enjoyed it too.
