Half term plans anyone?

Half term is coming up (The week after next where I am)
Does anyone have any plans with GC or GGC?

I will be having both GS's together on the Tuesday so have booked to take them both here. It's short drive for me and they will enjoy it. We have all been before.

GD's half term holiday is June 20 to 24th!! I find this ludicrous.

There is no way her family or any other with other children in different schools could go away on holiday at that time.
Whether I will get her to myself at all that week or she will be busy with friends, I don't yet know.

Gem - half term hasn't been spotted on my radar yet! I don't know when GD2's is. GD1 still isn't well enough to even think about going to school.

I wonder if your GD's half term is so late because they're struggling to run exams for the older pupils? There seems to be a shortage of invigilators and external exams will end around then. The schools haven't run exams during Covid so everything probably seems very new! I don't know, but I agree, it's a problem for families with children in different schools. We always had this when our DSs were at school in different counties from where I worked.

I think they have had them here, just a long weekend for ascension day this week, and Whit monday, then early holidays here, July 8th I think.

The fact that the majority are unaware of half term shows that there are few of us doing regular childcare any more. Our little ones are growing up!
I however will probably need to know these dates for many years yet
