    Grandson's first theatre trip

Today my 3 year old grandson went to the theatre for the first time. He has been to the cinema and loved it, but theatre was new to him.
We went to see The Tiger Who Came to Tea. It was a very good production and we both enjoyed it.
GS was so excited about the whole thing. He was entranced by the theatre building, taking it all in, and commenting on everything. He was such a good boy. The little bag of sweets I had in case he got restless never came out. He was sad it had finished, and asked a few times if he could see it again "Please!"

We walked back to the car park alongside the river. He had an ice cream and we looked at the boats and ducks. Once we we got home he wanted the Tiger Who Came To Tea story, and we played shops with the toy food, inspired by the story I'm sure.

A lovely day and I would love to take him to the theatre again one day.

Gem - what a lovely afternoon for both of you. Young as he is, I bet he'll remember his first theatre trip with Grandma.

I bet this will be the start of his love for the theatre ,
Isn't it lovely to see the excitement in their little faces and to be rewarded with a ice cream was the icing on the cake

His sister and I have shared many theatre productions together. Starting when she was about his age.
It is lovely to be able to share this again with this little one now.
