    Off to Flamingoland!

Yorkshire ladies will know where this is. A zoo and theme park combined.
I am looking after GS1 tomorrow all day as it is a Teacher Training Day. It is for his cousin too, so DD2 and I are going there together with all 3 children. That last time I was there DD3 was 6 years old!!
I looked online and I see they have Red Pandas. I am very excited about this as I love them and was disappointed that London Zoo no longer have any when we went there recently.
It's forecast fine tomorrow, I am really looking forward to my day out

That sounds really lovely Gem. You certainly deserve a nice day out.I wonder if it’s changed much since you were last there? Hope the red pandas are on good form.

Gem - just what you need. A lovely day out with your DD and all three GCs. I hope the weather's kind to you and the red pandas. Have a lovely day.

Enjoy your day out Gemini, I can remember seeing a Red Panda at a Zoo and was surprised how small they were.

They are Plant! So cute. They are no relation to the panda, being more closely related to racoons.

                      No!
We looked and looked all around the enclosure but no red panda(s) to be seen.

Apart from that we had a lovely day. GD and I were very taken with the wallabies and tried to convince DD that their size of garden (which little GS refers to as the park ) was big enough for a couple of wallabies. She was having none of it.

The older 2 went on a lot of rides, the little one a couple and he loved the dino land, overcoming his initial fear of the roaring dinosaur! GS1 went on a wet ride. He was the only one one and got very wet. He was happy, he never seems to feel the cold! We had to hang his anorak on the buggy handles for the rest of the day, it was sodden!
It was very quiet as most schools were not on holiday. This was good for the most part, but also meant some shops and kiosks were shut, including the cafe DD had earmarked for lunch. It was a challenge to find something for egg hating vegetarian GS1 (who had wanted a pizza) , but we managed.
Rides, animals, food stops, play areas, a pirate show, the day soon passed.
DD dropped me home around 6.20 then drove home, DD1 picking up GS1 from their house. I think they will all have slept well, I know I was dropping off in front of the TV!

I will put a couple of photos on my Media.
