New mattress

How do they roll it up when it has springs. DD and Sil bought a new mattress for a spare bed from a local store, we all tried them out but not for ten minutes.

A friend of mine, a few years ago bought a mattress which she couldn't sleep on , for the same reason as you.
If it doesn't improve for you, you will have to return it.

Because I like a soft mattress when I go away it's usually murder to sleep. Almost every place has a Firm mattress & I normally wake up aching in every joint. At one cottage I slept on the sofa for the whole holiday. It's so important to get the right one. Enfys I'm pleased to hear you're sorted now. On the other hand Daisy, I'm sorry you're not.

Nana - thank you for your concern, and you, too, Gem.

I'm pleased to say that last night I slept well on the new mattress. I'd had a long, tiring day and took a couple of paracetamol before I went to bed to ease the aches and pains. I slept really well and woke up feeling full of the joys of spring. Fingers crossed for tonight.

Nana - there ought to be something like a soft mattress topper that's portable enough to take away for people who like soft beds.

Plant - there are springs in the middle but most of it is memory foam. It arrived folded in half across the width and then rolled the other way, if that makes sense. There was a slight creas across the middle where it had been folded, but that bounced into shape over a couple of hours so by the time we came to make the bed up it was perfectly flat. Very clever!
