We have a Clarice Cliff cup and saucer.I had always wanted something by her, and son and ex daughter in law bought us it one Christmas.
Maybe that will become a family heirloom.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Glam - thank you. We took beautiful china for granted, I suppose! Your collection sounds lovely and I wouldn't want to part with them either. I suppose my condiment set is the most special, especially as the mustard pot was made especially for me and has a different date on the backstamp.

Nanto - Clarice Cliff is very collectable, and some of the rarer patterns are really valuable. I also like Susie Cooper designs - she was working in the same era and even as a very elderly lady was creating fabulous designs.

I have my "grandpa chair". It is the remaining chair of a pair given to my maternal grandparents when they married so would be about 120 years old now. It is a Windsor chair and grandpa always sat in it. It is fiercley protected in my bedroom. I also have a Victorian tall two tier table and a "wot not" which is a small freestanding shelf unit. I also have my grandmothers two bibles. She was staunch Salvation Army. Other than that I only have toys from my natural son which are sealed to protect them after his special teddy got eaten by moths. My sons christening shawl got damaged beyond repair when the garage roof leaked which broke my heart, we looked at having it repaired (it was crocheted by my paternal grandmother who shortly after succumbed to Alzheimers) but the cost was way more than we could afford at that time, it was used for three members of the family though including my eldest grandson.
