Qwerty, I know Daisy is on Grandma duty today, but hopefully she will be here tonight - if she's not too tired!!

I'm sure all the little ones will look adorable, and you grandparents too, whatever you wear
I hope it all goes well.

Never had a professional photograph, in fact no one in the family has. But looking at 'snaps' from the past, I'd say choose something that won't look screamingly funny, or worse, frumpy, in years to come. A simple neckline with dark trousers or skirt and no fashion details.

Qwerty - I'm so sorry I've only just seen this. We've had a friend staying on a flying visit from Australia, plus unexpected visitors, plus two days of childcare, and now an extra dog! All of them have conspired to keep me away from the computer.

I do hope the shoot went well - and I'm sure it did. I always used to say wear what you fee comfortable in because then you feel more relaxed. If people want me to be more specific, I'd say it looks nice if everyone's colours work well together, whether they contrast or harmonise - either looks good, and avoid very strident patterns or very high fashion.

Hopefully your photographer put all the GCs at ease and encouraged them to be themselves! I used to love photographing small children - they are such fun.

Thanks I have no idea what these pics will turn out like she rang less than an before to say she had double booked and could we go a half hour later, it threw us out slightly as the booking was originally for 11 am the babies like their dinner at 12 so they slept in the car but the environment was strange for them and the flashing bulbs going off disconcerted all three of them, none of them smiled lol eldest g/d wasn't too well, and youngest g/d everytime I walked away started crying, we were asked if we could get on the floor which was hard and cold we did but we forget to say we couldn't get up again, remeinded me of the picnic in York she didn't take as many as we thought think the kids got the better of her so we shall see could be a cheap do paying for them if not very good, by the way I wore some new jeans I bought and a white shirt as eldest g/d wore a lovely white dress, youngest two wore blue outfits and OH wore jeans and a blue denim shirt

Qwerty - oh dear! I think if I'd double booked I would have tried to move the other booking, not 2 babies! But maybe that wasn't possible. It is a strange environment, but I always had plenty of toys and you could usually distract them. With slightly older (pre schoolers) I'd get them to shout One-Two-Three then fire the lights so they felt in control and they soon forgot about them - I was very devious!!!

I do hope your photos come out all right - if she got good shots is won't matter that she didn't take as many as you expected. Your blue and white colours sound beautiful and will look great, I'm sure.

btw - you'd be surprised how many people cheerfully get on the floor and then can't get up again!

I'd understand if you couldn't, but I'd love to see the end result Qwerty. Shame about the double booking.💓
