DIL is 27 weeks now only 13 to go!

How are all you 'expectant' grannies doing..... how many weeks have you got left before your new addition arrives ?
My DIL has 13 weeks to go. She was interviewing for a new member of staff yesterday (she has her own beauty salon), unfortunately when you
are self employed you don't have the luxury of a long maternity leave. She has been looking for a new Therapist since Christmas to work
part-time 3 days a week - you would think she was asking for the moon. I'm looking forward to the new baby - I felt it kicking in her tummy on
Sunday .... next time we are all together the other DIL who is the midwife will bring her machine so we can all hear the heartbeat - exciting times.

Speaking of babies that are on their way. I never had a scan, as I'm sure quite a few other members may not have had. When our granddaughters were on their way my (now ex DIL) asked me if I wanted to go with her, when she had hers.I jumped at the chance, as I had only seen scan photos on TV and in magazines, and 1 or 2 other peoples scan photo's.
Well, I was mesmerised at what I could see on the screen. The sonographer said, haven't you seen a baby scan before.Told her, they didn't have them when my kids were born.It was fascinating for me.

I never had a scan for my first two babies as there was no such thing but when I was expecting my third having a scan was a fairly new thing. Our GP practice only tended to send mums to be to have one if they thought there was a problem, hence that's why I had one. (Everything was fine, it was just me, constantly being sick, not putting on weight and anaemic)

Avo it's very exciting isn't it

It will fly by Avo. DD2 had 3 weeks to go this Wednesday coming but managed to perform yesterday! All still in shock here.
