We've had a wonderfully sunny day (as forecast) with it clouding over a bit late afternoon (also forecast if I live in the east). I took Eva on a 3 hour hike today and it was glorious just being out in the fresh air without being splattered with mud or having my hair blown out by its roots.

The weather here on Merseyside has quite astonished me the past couple of days maybe someone in the know has been told I am on holiday from work and told Mr Sun to come out The only thing is it shows every particle of dust throughout the house so I am busy doing a mini-spring clean,I have been able to wash and line dry all the bedding over the past few days and even to the shock of some members have ironed everything you would be so surprised what a wee bit of sunshine can do to the system ladies. xxx next on the list all the voiles throughout the flat fingers x on the weather.

We have had a wet day today Daisy.

Ahhh, Plant. that means you must be in the West!!! Even though I kno you're not. It stayed dry here all day, but looked as though it was going to rain about 3 o'clock-ish.

I look at the BBC website too and it is quite accurate. OH looks at the hourly forecast in particular, in regards to golfing!

I always look at our local weather via the BBC website and generally it's usually correct.

OH has an app on his phone that is quite reliable. Gives the weather in hourly increments which has proved quite useful. Wish there was an app to control the weather! Now that would be useful.

DH likes looking at the weather for casts but I take them with a (huge) pinch of salt. The other day we had a massive hail storm, the hail stones were so thick it looked like snow yet about 1 mile up the road they had nothing. DD pulled into Asda car park with a car covered in thick ice/snow and everyone stared at her . We love our weather talk here In the UK don't we 🌞 ☔️ ⚡️❄️ ⛅️

Nanto - yes, I think milder weather generally is forecast for the week-end, thank goodness!

Nana - I think forecasting has got more accurate, and I know a couple of really excellent unpaid (I was going to say 'amateur, but there's nothing hobbyist about their knowledge) forecasters who do local forecasts for their areas. I think part of the problem is that our weather can be so localised - Libra Gran, Enfys and I all live within a few miles of each other, but can have quite different weather.

So far today, it looks as though I live in the south east, and it hasn't rained. I wonder where I'll live tomorrow!

The only time I look to the weather forecast is when I know I'm going out for the day with my GS. I like to be prepared if it rains for him. It's one thing splashing through the puddles as opposed to being wet, cold & shivering. I actually think that they've got a little more accurate over the years but let's face it, Mother Nature will always win

We never seem to get 2 forecasts saying the same thing.Just have to take what comes. Dad just told me it will be milder at the weekend.

The weather - or to be more precise, the weather forecasts. How much attention do you pay to the forecasts?

I tend to watch the regional TV forecasts if the telly is on, and give half an ear to the Redio 4 forecasts in the morning if the radio is on. This morning, yet again, left me confused - the forecast for southern England said dry in the west, wet in the east. We're in the middle, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see!
