    Good morning!

A lovely graphic to begin the day Nan2

I hate those Senior Moments Daisy!!

As I had my mum day yesterday, it is a free Thursday for me. I am going to a friends for lunch, and possibly doing some ironing - or maybe not!
    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from me as well!

I've got a busy catch-up and get ahead day today. Visitors tomorrow, including dinner, dog training Sat afternoon and OH's wood turning BBQ in the evening (no at our house, thank goodness!), Sunday up to DS1's for GS1's birthday BBQ, very early start on Monday to go to London, then Tuesday is GD2 and dog training in the evening, out for coffee and lunch on Wednesday. If you feel exhausted just reading it, I can understand. It's all lovely fun things, but the 'getting ready' bit seems like a lot of work at the moment. And I overslept this morning, so I'd better get cracking! OH has gone to DS2's shop to break down a mountain of cardboard boxes for them - they've started stocking up for that event in December.

Daisy hinted at the event that take place at the end of December. Lucky for her she did not mention the 'C' word . If she had of she would have been sent to sit on the naughty step so other members please be aware of the rules and abide by them at all times
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Qwerty, Take some time to relax on your child-free week, don't spend it all decorating!
                      What a week Daisy!
Mimi, thank you for drawing our attention to the rules about the December thing
                      Naughty Oma!

I had a lovely lunch at my friends house . Salmon fillet and salad, then vanilla cheesecake and strawberries. We had a good long chat too. We have been friends since our children were at toddler group, so we go back a few years!

                        Here at last.
We were out fairly early to go to the " oldies " cinema at 11 o'clock. The film was "Viceroys House" It was very interesting about the events leading up to Partition in 1940's India.
Then I had a browse round the shops while OH sat on a bench and read a paper. There was a good sale on in M and S but unfortunately I couldn't find anything I could justify buying.
However I did find a t-shirt in Bon Marche reduced to £4 from £11.

Hope everyone's day has/is going well.

By the way, Mimi - at the moment I'm so tired I'd sit anywhere, even the naughty step has its attractions. LOL

A simple end of the day - drop my car off at the garage for service and MOT tomorrow. It was a nightmare - the space the garage had left for us to park in was occupied by some selfish prat and there was literally nowhere to park! Never mind, we'd park in the station carpark and just pay for it. But - no ticket machine. You could use some ap, which I haven't got, or phone and use debit or credit card. So we decided to do that - but no service on the phone!!! Grrrrrrr.... In the end we parked it literally 2" from a van which clearly wasn't going anywhere with a note on it saying why it was there. I hope it's still there in the morning when the garage opens! All this faffing about took over half an hour, including both OH and me having goes at parking it in a space which was at least 12" too short for it! Poor Eva was sitting in the other car waiting because we were going to take her for a run in the paddock on the way back! Then we found we'd left her treats and water at home. Still she had a run round and didn't seem to mind not getting any treats. Dogs are so forgiving.

Feels cooler this morning, and we have had a bit of rain.
Hope it dries up, we had planned on doing some gardening.
I want to cut the grass and hubby wants to trim the hedge.

Good morning from me, as well. Love the graphic, Nanto.

It feels a bit cooler here as well, but the sun is shining, so I hope it will stay nice. I managed to get the lawn cut yesterday - but forgot to sweep up the clippings from doing the edge. Tut, tut!!!

Qwerty - I hope the twins' sleep over goes smoothly and they actually sleep. Don't overdo things on your week off. Decorating is hard work!!

Clover - the film sounds interesting. I must admit I have no real idea of what happened before partition. School history lessons covered the beginning of Imperial Rule in India (but only from 'our' point of view, of course) so I'd like to see that film.

Mimi - please can I have a whole day on the naughty step, or have I got to say THAT word a hundred times!!!

Oma - have a nice day with Storm. Does the hot weather slow him down a bit? We got Eva one of those cooling gel mats this week. The only problem is getting her to lie on it - she thinks it's part of a training exercise we do in class!! They are really good, but I've heard cases of dogs being very ill if they chew them - the gel inside is toxic! Luckily Eva isn't a chewer, but I won't leave it down if we're out.

Well, must get on. Have a good day everyone - chat later.
