Good morning Nanto and all who call in later. That looks like some very glamorous shopping you're doing in Wakefield. Oh no, poor Gem and family! I hope it is just the 90 minutes delay before they jet off! So close yet so far - it's very frustrating when you get airport delays.

The sun's shining here so I'm hoping to get on with the planting in the garden, although I'll let it warm up a bit - we had quite a sharp frost overnight.

WeeGranny - I hope you're on the mend and in less pain.

Glamm - did you see your DD on tv? Did they enjoy Ladies' Day?

Plant - have you got plans today - it must be rather quiet with no-one next door.

Enfys - I've been wondering how Cooper is, poor doggy.

Whatever you're doing today, I hope the sun is shining for you.

Thinking of you Gemini and hope you and family are up in the air.

Daisy, hope you get that gardening done at last. We have sunshine but I haven’t poked my nose out yet.

Oma, I like the sound of the colour you have chosen for your stairs. Is your Sil going to do the panelling? Hope he hasn’t got the dreaded Covid.

GD1, her OH and baby H popped in to see me yesterday. I don’t have any toys in here but she amused herself, she is so excited to be walking. Whilst she was here she was walking around with one of my television controls and I couldn’t find it after they had gone, searched everywhere, walked across the SR this morning and spotted it under a blanket chest.

Nanto, enjoy your day in Wakefield and good luck with your bet on the Grand National

I lost a filling eating a slice of Soreen, love it but keep clear of it now. You have been warned!

        Good morning ladies
A nice calm day but cold ,

Fingers crossed Gem and family are airborne now with no delays ,

I have been busy this morning , if it didn’t move it’s been cleaned within a inch of its life ,
the biggest job is always the kitchen cupboard doors , but everything is now done just the floors to wash ,

I dragged the sofa and chairs out to hoover under and behind B hoovers for me it kills my back

While I did the cleaning B has taken down the photos and mirrors on the stairs hall way and landing and filled in all the holes .
They will all be changing when we get it all done .

my spare bedroom looks like a tip everything is stacked in there plus tool box etc 🙄

Popping up to Farm foods soon then the rest of the day is mine ,

WG how are you today ?

Nanto enjoy your shopping trip do you look like your Graphic this morning , or is that your Sunday best photo 😁

Daisy hope it warms up enough to get your gardening jobs done , Did J get the floors sealed ?

Plant B is doing the panelling he is very handy that way ,
Havent spoke to SIL this morning yet so not sure how he is .

Just as well you spotted the remote you could have been looking for ages .
Bet Baby H is a pleasure to see 😁

MIL is on the phone to B now , he is rolling his eyes so lord knows what is happening now

I will pop back later see how everyone is x

Good morning, it is still very cold with hail showers at time. I went to the Lidl early and just managed to get home before the hail started. Lidl have the most delicious blue berries on offer, I took some to DIL yesterday as they all love them, when she sees me she must think " what has she in her bag today"!!!! She was telling me about the plans for the kitchen and they hope the joiner can soon get started on it all. She showed me the new dinner service, they told me about it when they ordered it, DIL gets vouchers for Christmas from her work and had not used them since the lock down so they decided on a service, Royal Doulton, I like it.

Plant, it is so cute when children start to walk and explore!

I hope Gem and family are on their way now.

I want to go and see if there are any cucumbers at the growers. I will have a look at the sky first.

Morning ladies! Feeling much more human today and so far I haven’t had to take any painkillers! Went to loo earlier, by the time I got back doggo had claimed his spot and was most upset when he had to move to let me back in!! I intend having a change of scenery today and move to the lounge .
Have hospital appointment on Tuesday for my nose and I think DD is planning on taking me home and staying for a few days. She can work from home which is good.
Have you Soreen lovers tried the banana one? It’s very nice! The only problem with soreen is that it sticks to my teeth!! Certainly couldn’t eat more than two slices!
Have a lovely day whatever you’re up to ladies.xx

Good Morning everyone,Its so cold here today but the sun is shining and a few bits of washing flapping away on the line, just towels that didn't dry yesterday.

I wasn't fortunate enough to see DD on TV at Ladies Day but she has put some fab pics on FB she messaged me and told me she had a winner which one I don't know they carried on in Liverpool later so will hear from her sometime during today.

WG I hope you are coping its such a shock to the system isn't it I felt very gittery for a good few days after my fall the bruising seemed to get worse every day and lasted a good 3/4 weeks looked as though I had been 10 rounds with Mike Tyson in the end.

Oma my friend and I went to a few good charity shops she found a nice Radley bag in one for just £3.90 and a pair of Cath Kidston hand towels still with labels for just £2 I found a preloved baby doll for DGD and will knit some little clothes for her she is made by Cherub so must be some age I think.?

Plant baby H must be getting around more every time you see her ? When ever any of mine turned up and I had no toys etc I always gave them a wooden spoon or pots and pans they make great toys if you can stand the noise .

Well our Gems will be well on their way by now I hope there where no holdups prior to boarding she must be delighted to be on her way at long last I do hope they enjoy the flight the little ones must be so excited.

Bye for now talk soon xx glamma xx

Glamm, I walked round the charity shop in our village and got some lovely beads etc for GD2 for her bead making, I went again this morning and got what I didn't get yesterday, I have taken them, I just got a message thanking me, she was so pleased with them. I told them the cucumbers I bought for them so now they are stocked up!

DS1 is in Whitby, on the steam train, he loves that! He will be home tomorrow.

Oma, i don't look like my graphic, even if i had my Sunday best on.

WG, pleased you are feeling a bit more human.
                          Doggy is a cutie.

We both enjoyed our day in Wakefield. Didn't buy anything out of the ordinary.

Both of us picked 2 horses in the Grand National.
Neither of mine came anywhere, but one of hubb'y came in 3rd.

It's been sunny for most of the day - but soooo cold! What happened to Spring!

Plant - it's surprising what toddlers will find to play with - everything is an adventure to them, even 'hiding' your remote control.

Oma, you have been a busy lady. Have yo heard how your SIL is today? I hope he's ok - it's hard having to take time off for illness when you run your own business. What did MIL say that made B roll his eyes like that? (Sorry, just nosy).

Lizzie - I should think your DIL loves your visits - you always seem to have lovely treats in your bag. I bet the Doulton dinner service is lovely. Will it go in the dishwasher?

WeeGranny - I hope you've continued to improve during the day - with a cuddly nurse like that looking after you, you should soon be fit and well again. He's gorgeous. I do hope you don't need an op on your nose. Not long till Tuesday. It's great your DD can work from home - and keep an eye on you. Did you feel tired after being up and about a bit today?

Glamm - have you seen your DD today and got a full account of Ladies' Day. I bet she was thrilled to have a winner. Your friend did well with her bargain hunting when she stayed with you. I'm sure your GGD will love the dolly and the little outfits you make for her. I remember giving visiting children saucepans and wooden spoons to play with - they were always popular with the children. Not so good for the grown-ups though.

Lizzie - we all used to take steam trains for granted! I think we forget how you'd get covered in smuts from the engine, and how they rattled along. Mind you, OH and I will always take a ride on one if we can - even Eva is happy to go on them. I'm sure your GD2 was really delighted with the beads - it's a lovely hobby to have.

Nanto - it doesn't sound as though your OH's win on the National is going to pay for a month in the Caribbean, but still nice to win. I'm glad you enjoyed your day out even if you didn't buy anything special. Just a change of scenery and a meal out is good, isn't it.

Gem - I hope when you read this it will be from the side of your swimming pool, in the sunshine with a suitable drink in your hand. xx

We seem to have had a bit of a messy day - neither of us felt like hard work! OH went into the village to get Easter eggs for the GDs - Sainsbury substituted a totally inappropriate item for the two eggs I'd ordered. I did some more sorting out in the dining room and washed the bedding and a couple of other loads. A friend popped round for a catch up after lunch, which was lovely. Then eventually I did some gardening and got a couple of things planted. There are weeds growing already so I dug those out first. OH gave the hall floor a light sanding and is just putting a second coat of clear varnish on. We have to do it last thing at night and then keep Eva upstairs so she doesn't walk all over it! I'll be glad when it's finished!

Daisy SIL was still feeling rubbish but testing negative so maybe fingers crossed a bad cold ,
MIL was moaning about some paperwork from Germany she didn’t understand ,

                                Hi everyone.
                                we are in Florida!

All went remarkably smoothly in Manchester. Some delays with the flight, massive queues at border control and we had to wait ages for our hire car. Meaning we missed the Walmart delivery which I had booked for between 8 and 9 🙁( given that we landed around 4!!

All good though, and I will talk to you all tomorrow.
