See is the operative word there Gemini. Hope your eye improves soon. Your auntie sounds a lovely lady and was vey pleased to have your company.

Oma your Mil would try the patients of a saint.

WG, Oma is right, the food isn’t bad but it is not your cooking.

Lizzie for her age she doesn't do too badly .

Plant well Im no saint so she really tries my patients, But if nothing else she keeps us on our toes and gives us something to moan about

Gem your Aunty knew you would want to pay , naughty but ever so kind of her
Hope the cream works quickly xx

Forgot to say she wanted to go to the bank to change £75 worth of silver ,
Took her in emptied all the silver in the counting machine , took ages as it was all in little bags so they all had to be opened , almost finished when she pushed a button and it dumped all the silver out
We had to start again scooping the silver out of the bottom of the machine bit by bit
After rolling my eyes I did see the funny side eventually

Your Auntie sounds like a lovely lady. Pleased you had a nice time.

Oma, you will look back on these outings with MIL and laugh.

Oma - what an outing! You must have been mortified when MIL was saying about the child having a tantrum. Pot and kettle come to mind!

Gem - I do hope your eye is ok and the cream works quickly. I suppose the pharmacist has to say 'see the doctor', but they must know how unlikely that is to happen. Your Auntie is amazing, and I'm sure she was delighted to treat you both this time.

WeeGranny - I'm sure your OH is eating more than he's saying. I don't for one minute think he's doing that on purpose, but I think time gets confusing in hospital and one meal sort of blends into another. My DIL2 uses dry carpet shampoo and it seems very effective. I'm sure you felt the satisfaction of a job well done. I think there is a particular mindset that makes places like bus stations utterly hideous.

Enfys - little Cooper sounds a sweetie, and I'm sure you will develop a great relationship with him.

Plant - how lovely helping to choose the new plants - you must have been in your element. I'm still trying to decide what to plant in the border we've cleared in our garden.

Lizzie - your sister would have been so proud of her GS1. It can't have been easy training for a triathlon with a young family.

Nanto - we had enough rain to fill our water butt overnight, but mostly sun today. Chilly though.

I have felt very lazy today and not done much except read.

Good morning, I don't think it would be easy training for the triathlon with the children, they do seem to help him with everything he does though.

I went to the sport school yesterday to say I would start on Friday but because of the ribs I won't be able to do too much, most of the group I was there with for a few years were there, all pleased I was going again, the only thing is I wasn't planning on going early mornings, but, I will go on the Monday and Friday then I will go the other days when I feel like it.

A quiet day for me m still traumatised from Yesterdays outing with MIL ,
We laughed last night though , just as well we can

Going to ring DD soon she has come down with a heavy cold so feeling a bit rough ,
Pharmacist told her people are getting heavier colds because of the lack of exposure to germs the past 18 month .

Have a good day ladies xxx

Good morning, dull and drizzly here.

Oma, you two are saints! Your MIL is a very lucky lady to be taken out and about, so many people wouldn’t have the patience.

Gem, I thought that too.... boots in a pet shop (I missed the capital B!) 😀

Take care with the exercise Lizzie, don’t overdo it.

Daisy, Cooper is sweet but I’ve never know a dog sleep so much! Mind you, he is an elderly gentleman now so I don’t blame him. He ambles around the garden sniffing at every leaf so unlike Dexter who bounds about at 100 mph. It was a very peaceful day, although he did perk up when I gave him a treat and he remember the cupboard where they were kept so nothing wrong with his memory 😀

Off for haircut today thank goodness, I feel rather shaggy at the moment. Have a good day everyone 🌞

                        Good morning ladies.
Some sunny but windy this morning, it looks chilly out.
Another pretty graphic to greet us Nan2
Well done to your nephew Lizzie, your sister would indeed have been proud.
Daisy you have many busy and hectic days, yesterday was needed and deserved!
Oma, I read that about heavy colds this season. I hope DD feels better soon. You need a quiet day after MIL yesterday!!

Golf for OH today, free day for me. I am picking up GS1 tomorrow afternoon this week.
I intend to dust , hoover and make up the bed in the spare room for our cat sitter. I need to send out the agenda for Thursday's AGM meeting and go to the post office. I bought my mum some shoes online from Pavers for her birthday. She loves them but they were too tight, so I need to return those and order more in the next size today.
I will also watch Sunday's Vigil. OH is several episodes behind, so I need to watch when she's out.

                        Have a good day everyone.

Enfys I won't overdo the exercise, I need it for my arms and legs with the lipodema? if I don't keep moving I get the problems. It isn't that I dash round the sport school using everything in sight.

Oma, I hope your DD is soon feeling better, it was bound to happen with people not being exposed to germs for so long.

I have just been for lamb steaks (Daisy mentioned them), I have marinated them and put garlic in, I have washed my hands but will have to do it again.

Lizzie, take care, don’t overdo the exercise. You will enjoy those lamb steaks later.

Gemini, shame about th Pavers shoes, pleased your mum liked them. It is good to have someone in the house when you are away. Holiday getting close now.

Oma, sorry to hear your DD has managed to pick up a cold. A restful day for you and B is prescribed after yesterday.

Spent most of the day yesterday with GD1 and baby H, she is now pulling herself up on anything handy, loves standing, she is not one of those babies that just sit any play, problem is she has taken a few knocks as she is so adventurous. I have a dental appt. at 4.15 today, fortunately I still have most of a tank full of petrol. The garages around here were out of petrol and diesel yesterday.

Enfys, I would love to have the company of a dog, Cooper sounds just right, not too boisterous.

Good morning everyone. It's dry but dull here, but Nanto's cheery graphic helps dispel the gloom.

Oma - poor DD. there are some nasty colds about, and probably worse for her because of all the job stuff going on in her life. I think that kind of stress makes you a bit more vulnerable. I'm sure you need to be lying down in a darkened room after yesterday's shenanigans. At least you're not bored. xx

Lizzie - it sounds as though you've got a well-worked out programme of exercise. I hope you enjoy your lamb steaks. I usually marinate them, even if only for 15 minutes, and then set Alexa to time each side so I don't overcook them. I don't know if it works for garlic, but if you've got the smell of tripe (dog food in our house) on your hands washing and drying them and then rubbing them on something made of stainless steel helps. It sounds odd, but it does work.

Enfys - little Cooper has had to cope with a lot of changes, and sleeping is one way dogs cope - decompressing. You may find as he gets used to you he will be more alert. It's good to know his memory is working well, and I'm sure he would have been wondering who the 'other' dog (Dexter) is in your garden. Enjoy your trip to the hairdressers.

Nanto - I'm sure your dad looks forward to your visits even more now. I've been wondering how he is as well.

After my lazy day yesterday I feel much better. OH started to take out an overgrown Skimmia bush yesterday. We can now see a peony tucked away behind it, but it's a bit too early to move that yet. But there are plenty of other jobs to get on with.
