I have to stay home in the morning so plan on cleaning my car, I have just tidied up a bit near the work bank etc.

Lizzie im a softie when it comes to Storm , my DD will just shake her head and roll her eyes

Been down my Neighbours , she looks very thin and frail ,
She isn't eating well but trying to , as she is Vegetarian its difficult to get all the Protein etc in her in any quantity and her Husband isn't sure what to feed her ,
Her only DD who lives in Glasgow is coming at the weekend to spend some time with them so she has said she will cook her lots of meals to go in the freezer so all he Dad has to do it heat them up .
I said maybe several small meals rather than big meals till she is feeling better .

Back from hospital. More injections......but only twice a week for the next month, phew! The consultant was at great pains to tell me that I couldn't do any damage with them, because of the shortness of the needle and the fact that they're spring loaded. That's a relief then!!

Grey and miserable here, which hasn't helped my low mood! Did a dark wash while we were out and came back to find a tissue had been left in a pocket,grrr! Only myself to blame unfortunately. Hanging on line now, so hopefully any stray bits will be blown away.

Mam died this afternoon about 1.45.
Only good thing i can say, is she is at peace now.

Oma - I thought I spoilt the family dogs, but washing rice of the meat is above and beyond! If you'd just put down a lump of belly pork he would probably have wolfed it down. You're a proper softie. x

WeeGranny - I'm glad the consultant took time to reassure you about the safety of doing OH's injections. I'm sorry you're feeling so down - I wish we could help. It's dull here at the moment, but if there's any sunshine to be had I'll send it your way. xxx


We were up at sparrow's cough this morning because the garden man said he'd be here at 7.30. A skip arrived, but no sign of him yet. I'm off to get a shower, and hope he's here soon.

I'll be going round soon, i need to go to the chemist for his prescription.
Hubby will come round later.
Need to make a couple of phone calls to relatives who live down south.
Not seen them for years,but they always send mam and dad xmas/birthday/and holiday postcards.
I can't ring from home,they are x directory and i don't know their numbers.

Nanto,I know people mean well but your Fil doesn’t need loads of visitors, he needs time to reflect on what has happened.

Well glad that dental treatment is over for 3 weeks, crown to be fitted then. I am attending a funeral of my neighbour this morning, it is at the local church. I heard yesterday that another friend had died, he was the OH of a lovely friend who died a few years ago. Then I intend to play bowls this afternoon.

Daisy, I remember that you had a problem with flies some time ago, I don’t know if my problem is the same but I am being bothered by small flies. There are about 8 or more hanging around my kitchen and they seem to survive fly spray. I don’t keep any food out and empty bins frequently. I am going to buy a fresh fly spray today, perhaps mine is a bit old.

I think we all agree Oma that you are a big softie, especially where Storm is concerned and he has you sussed.

We had such a lovely time yesterday. Being with DD2 and all 3 GC was greaat. Add an outdoor pool and sunshine, we could almost pretend we were in a Spanish villa together. For a while at least

GD and GS2 day today. All three of us have had a busy week so could do with a quiet at home day today. OH is playing golf near Hull today. There a buffet meal, so I will eat my meal with the GC at teatime.

Gem, pleased you enjoyed the pool, I was wondering where our closest is now, only in the next village where DS1 lives.

I have cleaned my car, I can't remember when I last did it and I don't know why as I enjoy doing it. I am waiting for them to come with my replacement bike, should be here before 12am. I have decided all this sorting things out is very tiring! I had to phone the insurance etc this morning to get it sorted out for the old bike.

I have got the key of the post cupboard for the lady under me, she is ill and was having trouble getting into the cupboard the other day so I said I would phone for her and arrange everything, they will come to me for the key this afternoon.

It is very dull here with showers forecast.
