    Good morning everyone.
Too much going on to reply to everyone!
I'm glad the decorating went well Nan2.
Lizzie, it sounds as though the holiday was a success. It will have done you good.
Fingers crossed for all going smoothly for the wedding Plant.

Free day today. Golf for OH. I think I will go over to mum's bungalow as we haven't for a while, and on the way back to Aldi. They have some pet beds in this week and Henry needs a new one.
Oma, I did sleep well! I slept badly the previous night listening out for GS2, who didn't wake actually. My friend posted a pic on FB of her 13 and 12 year old GC asleep in the back of the car on the way home! Ours didn't sleep.

    Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning from me, everyone. Nanto I did get the order finished and it's due any minute - and I'm still in my jammies! I'll have to get a move on, as it's bins as well this morning. What excitement!

      I'll be back later.

Double excitement here too Daisy! They didn't collect the green garden waste waste bins yesterday, so we have that and the 3 recycling boxes out there now.

Good morning. Our green bins are due to be collected next week! Sad that I am excited at the prospect 🙂.

I am meeting an important gentleman this afternoon...........a little West Highland terrier called Cooper....good name eh, Daisy 🙂. I am thinking about whether or not to dog sit him For a couple of days a week as his owner has recently passed away. Background story is, DDs work colleague has recently lost her mother, very sadly, she was only in her late fifties and is left with the problem of her little dog. She is trying to find care for him whilst she is at work so I am meeting him today. I’m not 100% sure about it but will see how we get on and also if he gets on with Dexter. DD has only a couple more weeks at work so I won’t have Dexter here any more but will obviously be seeing them more so if the two dogs don’t get on it will be a no. I’d like it to work as it will give me a purpose and company so we shall see. Wish me luck 🤞. Apparently he loves cuddles and watching tv! The perfect man 😀

I had a very interesting morning yesterday. I have recently joined a group called the Jolly Dollies, a national group for widows that I found quite by chance on the internet. I went to my first coffee morning yesterday and it was very nice, everyone was very friendly and of course we are all in the same position. The group was started about 10 years ago by a lady who had lost her husband and found it hard to meet up with people, which I can understand. It’s been very successful and there are groups all over the country. They organise coffee mornings, days out even holidays when it’s possible so I shall go along again and see how it works out. I put my name down for the Christmas Meal so something to look forward to.

Fish and chips for lunch then I must get ready for my date with Cooper 😀

Morning all. Very quiet here, it is the lull before the storm I think. Weather really not looking good for tomorrow. I have just pressed my wedding garb, I am still happy with it, GD2 approves.

Lizzie, so pleased you were able to enjoy your holiday, after such a fright.

Oma, I hope the Orthopaedic doctor can help B with his back pain.

Pics of your day at Filey looks like fun was had by all Gemini.

Well, I'm finally back. After all that excitement - it's too much!!

Enfys - two days a week doggy care sounds lovely - not tying you down too much, but lovely company, especially with the winter coming. Our doggy trainer always suggests introducing dogs outside on neutral territory. First meeting just a 10 second 'meet and greet' so they can wag their tails and have a sniff at each other and then walking them away. Then perhaps walking them side by side with both dogs on the outside so it's dog-human-human-dog. We did this with Missy, our new neighbour, and Eva and it's worked very well. Then we introduced them to each other in their garden then ours, and now they are happy to share a rug for a sleep indoors.

              Good luck.

Enfys both the dog sitting and the club sound like just what you need , it will give you a purpose and something to look forward too every week

Plant I do hope the weather stays dry at least even if its dull

Daisy hold on old girl all that excitement will turn your head

B back its as we thought nothing can be done he just has to live with the pain , he has also developed a slight curve, again understandable not a surprise ,
Going to send him to pain management , he has been on several occasions all they do is up his meds and he is on so many strong Pain killers he wouldn't take anymore anyway .

It was raining 15 mins ago now its lovely and sunny so I have been out and dead headed some of the flowers ,
My sweet pea are huge and very unruly even against the netting they are too heavy and bending over , I have cut some parts away .

Dear God I have just had a email from The Range with a video of their Christmas Decoration range

Now I love Christmas but even I think this is stupidly early

Oma I agree! I love Christmas and certainly don't think you should wait until December to plan, but any time before Halloween is a bit early for me, and it's still the school holidays for goodness sake!
Enfys, P would be proud of you! He had his Man Shed and you are getting yourself out there.
Plant, fingers crossed for the weather for you all tomorrow.

I had a nice lazy start - breakfast in bed then a bath. I put a towel wash on then waited for a delivery, then went out. All OK at mum's, but it was a good job I went as there were letters needing attention. I have been online and informed about there being no one at the house to vote and no one needing a TV licence.
Aldi on the way home. I phoned my auntie for a chat this afternoon, and arranged to see her next Friday.

                      Good afternoon all.
I had an early start this morning as I had a blood test at the hospital. Not something I look forward to as my veins are tiny now and I can only offer one arm! The bloodsucker was a whizz and managed first time! Happy day.
Since then I have taken the ‘cage’ off the strawbs ready to dig them up and start again.
Oma I choked on my tea. I have stopped laughing now.

I met Cooper and he is very sweet. The meeting with Dexter wasn’t too good, Dex was fine but Cooper growled a lot and wasn’t too happy. Otherwise it was ok. I have thought about it and have decided to do one day looking after him but I’ll be a stand by in case someone else can’t do it. It will be a long day and I feel happier with that. His “mum” is happy too so I’ll soon be having a new little friend. He soon discovered where the doggy biscuits were and sits with his paw up asking for them, so cute. He explored the garden and christened my heathers, so made his mark 😀

Enfys, one day a week is good doggy sit.You never know,Dexter and Cooper might become friends.

Hubby dropped me off at in laws this morning.
I had only been in 2 minutes when dad fell.
He's no lightweight and there is no way i could have got him up on my own.
Hubby was on his way to meet a walking pal,but he had to come back to help.
                              Anyway no damage done.
Came home for something to eat and hubby wanted to get the pictures back up after decorating.
4.30,mam rang, dad had fallen again. So off we went to get him sorted. Again no damage done.
Something is going to have to be done, i feel its only a matter of time before he does some damage to himself.

Grauntie, pleased all went well at the hospital.

Oma,hope B can get some relief from the back pain.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

It seems for the last few days every time I come on to this thread something or someone interrupts. Hopefully at this time of night I should get a few minutes to catch up.

Enfys I didn't have time to say earlier that the Jolly Dollies sounds a lovely idea. A widowed friend of mine is in a circle of other widows who meet up for Sunday lunch, as usually that it the day when little or nothing else is happening. She really enjoys the friendships she's made within the group. Pleased Cooper was so sweet. He's probably feeling a bit insecure around other dogs - he's lost one "mum" and must be feeling a bit insecure - a lot for a dog to adapt to, so over time he might feel happier with Dexter. I'm sure you will love having his company - he looks a sweetie.

Nanto - what a worry that your FIL is having so many falls. Thank goodness he hasn't hurt himself, but it must be a big worry. Has he seen/spoken to his doctor about them? (Not easy, I know!)

Grauntie - what a relief that you had the ace bloodsucker today. I usually have no problem, but Monday's cull of my red cells resulted in a large bruise. I was going to say perhaps it's the luck of the draw, but perhaps it should be the luck of the jab!

Oma - I have no words!

Gem - that sounds like a nice, relatively relaxing day after yesterday at Filey. It's surprising how much paperwork lands on the door mat of an empty house though. Did all your bins get emptied today? And most important, did Henry get a new bed?

Plant - whatever the weather does tomorrow, I send the bride and groom very best wishes, and hope you all have a truly happy day.

Off for an early night. xx
