Good morning Nanto nice flowers
Didnt get shed roof done yesterday because of rain so SIL & GS1 coming today as forecast fine .
Not much to do today as everything done yesterday , just put Towels in the wash after our showers and that's about it really .
Went to pack some chicken up to put in Freezer I bought a pack on Thursday the date said sell by the 4th ,
Opened it up and it was stinking . I had to double wrap it and double bag it then put it in the outside bin .
Once the sealed lid came off the smell hit me yuk .
Should have taken it back really but didn't want that smell in the car
How are we all today ? I will pop back and catch up later xxxIm not fat just 6ft too small

Good morning ladies.
Thank you for that beautiful bouquet this morning Nan2! I hope no one was hurt in that accident.
Today we are going out to Sledmere with friends, for Sunday lunch. I am looking forward to everything apart from the car ride! I have to be able to get in and out of the back of their sports car (with knee and back problems) and I often feel carsick in the back of cars. I will think positive and report back
I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning, Oma, the smelly chicken would put me off chicken!!!!
Gem, enjoy your lunch, hope the ride is better than expected.
We have just had one very heavy downpour. Those friends are away with their caravan, near the German border, I went down for the post yesterday and saw their Jeep, I thought maybe something was wrong with her brother as he has keyhole surgery this week, no, a few days rain so they decided to come home for a few days or she will never go again!!
nan, I hope no one was hurt in the accident, a young talented footballer and his brother were killed here on Friday evening, he was 16 years old and his brother 18!!

Years ago we bought a fresh chicken from Aldi, got it out of the fridge to cook 2 days later (several days still to go on the Eat By label) and like Oma's it was very off!!
OH took it back to Aldi for a refund the next day. It put me off buying meat from Aldi for some time. We have done so now for several years, all fresh and very good quality so it was a one off. Awful though, and we had to have sausages for our Sunday dinner as it was too late then to go for anything else!
Tragic accident there Lizzie“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Gem I bought these from Sainsburys , I always buy from Aldi but had forgotten when we were in there ,
Its probably had a small hole in the seal and allowed air to get in , Its happens doesn't it
Enjoy your drive out , I must admit I cant travel very far in the back of a car either xxIm not fat just 6ft too small

I am late joining the party again.
Lizzie, what a dreadful accident your Bil’s friend had, it is not surprising that your Bil is upset, it is so soon after loosing his wife.
Oma, I hope the weather stays fine for Sil and GS1 to get the roof repaired.
Have a lovely lunch Gemini, perhaps they will let you sit in the front.
I had lunch with DD, Sil GD1 and baby H yesterday. We went to our favourite pub/restaurant, baby H was a star. No plans today, might do some gardening if it stays fine. For some reason the surgery have book me in for a blood test tomorrow something to do with my atrial fibrillation. Next week someone is going to phone me, not sure why and who has ordered this as I get my tabs from the hospital. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good Morning ladies, I've caught up on the posts over the past few days and send my love to everyone having a bad time at the moment.
Gems can you not take sickness tablets when you travel to ease the discomfort in the back of a car? I hate travelling in the back of a car I like to see where I am going.
The treatment on my eye on Friday was successful and I can see so clearly now its just wonderful to be back to normal I was only in with the clinician for 5 minutes after waiting for half an hour for the eye drops to work the difference was instantly noticeable and got better over the next 24 hours.
My friend came with me she has just gone home after staying since Thursday we have had the most amazing catch up chats filling in the past 30yrs since we saw each other we are going to do it on a regular basis.
Now my vision is back to normal we went out everyday visiting places she remembered from when she lived in the area she was astounded how the area has changed,we are planning a 2/3 day break away to York/Scarborough later on in the year or early next year so watch out Gems/Oma I could be on your doorstep one day.It was like we had never lost touch after all those years and that is what I call a good friendship.
I'm off to Argos to choose some new brass door handles for all my doors in the bungalow now I can see properly the screws will not be a problem before I couldn't see where the holes where to screw them on to the door. That will be the final thing I need to do for the decorating to be completed, apart from putting down new flooring for the kitchen which I have not decided on as yet.
Off now to do a mini spring-clean now my guest has gone home and start the dinner for my neighbour Jim and myself, hopefully the rain will stay off and I can hang out some whites as I have not done a wash since Thursday (naughty girl)
Take care everyone xxKeep Calm,You're Fabulous

Glamma, I would love to meet up with you for coffee if you are ever this way, so do let me know Great about your eyes!
Daisy is fine, having a hectic social time! We look forward to hearing all about it eventually!
No travel sickness, and apart from taking an embarrassing amount of time getting myself out of the back of the 2 door low sportscar, all good. We had a nice walk about, a good lunch, then our friends came back here for a cuppa.
Off to compile a treasure hunt now for the GC coming on Tuesday.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown
