No sun here Nanto and Gemini, we have had a lot of rain in the night. I have plans to change the bedding and push the sucky thing around the SR and possibly also wave the fluffy thing around but that might be going a bit too far, there is always tomorrow. It is my sister's 92nd birthday today, had a chat with her yesterday.

Meal from M&S sounded good Gemini. I hope your OH has a successful golf trip

GS1 and family popped in for a short visit, we are lucky having them so close. GGD always looks and gives you a lovely smile when she sees you, she loves a gentle rough and tumble with her Papa. GD1 was getting advice from them about the best pushchair etc to buy for their baby.

      Morning ladies ,
Just been to our little local Morrisons for milk and needed fruit , it was nice and quiet ,

Waiting for DD to ring had to take SIL for a Covid test yesterday they will get results some time today ,
DD thinks its just a heavy cold but you cant be too careful , she rang the helpline and they said to take him down ,

If that is the case they will be isolating and we will have to get what shopping they need although DD is good at keeping stocked up , it will only be fresh stuff she needs
Fingers crossed its not though ,

Its raining here been like this all night ,

Gem your meal sounded lovely did you get a sherry trifle ? i love them . Hope the rain has held off for the golf .

Plant your GGD does have the sweetest smile doesnt she

Nanto hope you get your washing out , make the most of the Autumn sun

A miracle here this morning! The sun s shining!!! Sheets in wash and I'll get them hung out later. Goulash in slow cooker . DD is working from here today and I'm out tonight, way!hay! so that'll do her and her Dad.

I enrolled for an Art class and it's finally taking place, although it may not continue if students aren't happy about the arrangements. So I'm dusting down my brushes and paints in readiness.

Did quite a lot of housework yesterday, so may take it easy today. Lots of apples to pick and do something with, so that can be my job for today.

Hope all poorly people are soon on the mend. Have a good day ladies x

Good morning, everyone. It's sunny here, but I think it rained hard in the night.

I've got a pile of dog towels to wash, but everything else is up to date.

No plans for me. It's too wet underfoot to do anything in the garden, so I shall probably have to spend most of the day painting! Tough, eh.

WeeGranny - you've reminded me I should try and find an art class - I badly need help - I hope yours continues.

Oma - I do hope SIL tests negative, but at least they've got you nearby to help with shopping etc. There are a lot of heavy colds about, so fingers crossed that's what it is.

Plant - I hope your sister has a lovely birthday. Don't overdo things - as you say, housework will always wait until tomorrow, or next week or next year!

Gem - your ready meal sounds lovely. Did you enjoy the HP film as well? Last winter was quite mild, wasn't it, so at least your hedgehogs had plenty of food to keep their weight up. A busy day for you and S - but both enjoyable I hope.

Nanto - A nice 'take it as it comes' day for both of us.

Thank you my friends from the North, the sun has arrived here, very wet and soggy. I have just been to pick the last of the pears and pick up the larger cooking apples from the grass. Sil will pick up the smaller ones and put them in the woods for the deer. Housework done for the day, I was tired Daisy and my back was a bit sore, I need to get back swimming.

It's clouded over a bit here, but not too bad! Plant, a good idea to put the apples in the wood for the wildlife - I bet the birds enjoy them too. I never pick up our windfalls - we just put them in the border and they either rot down into the soil or they get eaten by the birds.

Sun didn't last long, so sheets in tumble drier!

Went into Cambridge to do a few things while DD kept an eye on her Dad. Have been advised to get registered as a carer, so will look into that. At least I could go out and not worry about what OH was getting up to if there was someone else there.

Oma, hope Sil gets the all clear.

Plant, a hot water bottle might help ease your back.

Oma, pleased the test was negative for SIL, even if he is a whinging drama queen.

Looking a bit dull this morning. Showers forecast i think.

Good morning, Nanto and all who follow - and hello to your exotic feathered friend.

It's sunny at the moment, but very wet underfoot. I'm just off to collect Cooper for the day. He hasn't been here for nearly 3 weeks - he had an ear problem and then last week GD1 was off with what sounds like the same heavy cold as Oma's SIL, so dad stayed home with her. She was more of a grumpy Gertie! She never gets colds normally. She's hoping to go back to school today.

Oma - so pleased SIL is in the clear. Good luck with any phone calls from MIL. xx

Chat later, but must get going, now.

                          Good morning all.
I hope Cooper and Eva enjoy their day together Daisy

OH returned safely from her trip. A good time was had by all.
I had a very busy afternoon in the library yesterday, searching through a list of lost in transit books (reserved but nobody knows which library they are in) , many of which I found. It made the four hours pass very quickly.

School pick up for GS1, no other plans for today.

                          Have a good day everyone.

                            Good morning ladies ,
The sun is out and sky is clear but its a bit fresh out ,

Gem glad S is home safe , i bet you felt a sense of achievement locating those books well done .

Daisy Eva will have missed Cooper too i bet there is a lot of energy used in your house today

Nanto love the bright bird very cheering

WG a good idea about Carer status , you can call on several organisations to help , meaning a day out shopping for you wouldnt be so stressful , you would know he was safe .

Ive done what needs doing this morning , B has had to take his Laptop to the Apple store ,
He nodded off with a cup of coffee in his hand and it spilt all over key board , he jumped up and managed to pour it off but its playing up so think some has got in and damaged it , he is hoping its fixable , its insured but he has lots on it he needs ,
Thankfully he does back it up every so often so he thinks hes got most of it saved

As i have a few hours to myself im going to put the kettle on and read some of my kindle

have a good day ladies i will pop on later see how you all are xxx

Good morning. I’ve been lurking but haven’t felt like posting. Im out with DD This morning, she has a week off work and I have a friend round for coffee this afternoon. We’ve had lots of rain but it’s dry and bright this morning, chilly though.

Good morning, catching up this morning, dull with heavy showers here. Oma, I hope the laptop can be repaired, I do try not to spill coffee or anything but it is easily done. I hope you manage to relax with the kindle.

Well done Gem for finding the lost books.

Daisy, enjoy the day with the 2 dogs, they will be tired out by the end of the day.

Enfys, enjoy the time with your DD and then later your friend.
