Well done Gemini, I must have put on several pounds this holiday, not very healthy meals and too much wine but I have done a lot of walking, hope it isn't as bad as I fear.

Plant - I find if you put weight on quickly for any reason, it goes quickly when you get back to normal, and as you say, with so much exercise you might even have lost weight!

I have been going to slimming world and have lost just over a stone. The problem is I am going on a cruise in December for two weeks, then Christmas, then New Year. I wonder how much of it I will put on again. Never mind. I can start again in January!
Always face the sunshine and the shadows fall behind you.
Sunshine, even if you put on some weight with all those lovely things going on, you have some leeway having lost a stone, so well done!
Nan2 I'm sure you are fine without losing weight. I would be classed as clinically obese if I let those charts bother me, so really do have to lose some weight, for my health.
The charts however say my 6 year old GS, not skinny but by no means fat, is overweight though, so I don't take too much notice of them.
You know if you or your child is overweight, without charts. DD was quite upset and annoyed when the school told her this. I agree with her.

Gem - I totally agree about not taking notice of the weight charts for children who are fit, well and active but don't 'fit' the official weights. Talk about how to give a child a complex!
Sunshine - well done on losing a stone - although I'm sure you didn't need to! Enjoy your cruise and all the seasonal goodies - as you can say, you can start again in January, but you may find you don't gain anyway.
I keep telling myself I must do better - and I will, one day soon.

Well, I finally braved the scales, and it was not as bad as it could have been!
I have gained 3 pounds since I last weighed in November. Considering we have had Christmas and New Year I am not too upset by that!
So having lost 7 pounds of course, I am back to having lost 4

I gained 3 pounds over Christmas and New Year so I will have to start being strict with myself again. Fortunately I can ignore the boxes of chocolates still stashed away! I hope.
